This dog is an extremely people friendly. He travels well, loves the car. He is a good listener to commands. Walks on leash and handles public places. I have had him around young kids and is very tolerant of kids Loves loves and would make a perfect companion for somebody who wants a forever friend. Does well with small dogs not very big dog-friendly. Shows no desire to play with other dogs only people. Not sure about cats. I've been fostering him for 3 weeks and he does have a lot to offer to the right person or family. I just took him to the vet he passed all of his vet checks he is current on all of his shots and heartworm and flea medicine. The only negative about the dog is I believe from his last situation he has a lot of anxiety about being left. It's breaking my heart that it's not working with my pack, and he needs a new home.



He's an amazing dog. He'd fit perfectly with a family that's active and enjoys taking the dog everywhere they go

All Orphan Dogs are fostered in private homes by volunteers who graciously take time from work and home life to care for our orphans. We do not have a facility, and most dogs are transported to our scheduled Adoption Events! 



Our van is limited on space and because of this sometimes dogs will get time off if the van is overfull. Other arrangements may be made for meeting a dog the dog if circumstances prevent you from being able to make it to events. Remember again though, that volunteers foster dogs in their spare time so we encourage you to try to attend the events. 







If you are local to Lake County, we do make arrangements to meet dogs here in town. However, please remember that most of our dogs have been in our shelters for weeks before we pull them. We take the dogs that have not been adopted yet. If you visit the shelter, you'll get the dog before I do!
